Will You Save From EVN’s Price Cut?

Based on Decision 2892/QĐ-BCT, in force from 1 November 2026. Vietnam.

Your Site

Pick your customer type and connection voltage, enter the kWh on your EVN bill for each time band, and the hours you operate. Have more than one site? Add each one to see the total. Not sure of your voltage? It is on your electricity contract or EVN bill, or ask your electricity company. Small shops and offices are usually 0.4 kV. Large factories are usually on 22 kV or above.

Your Inputs

Key Finding

Enter your monthly usage to see what the new tariff does to your bill.

Your first bills. EVN has up to 90 days from 1 November to reset meters to the new peak hours (Circular 60/2025, Article 5.2). Until your meter is reset, your bill shows only the new prices, not the move to the new peak hours.

Two Things Changed

How to read this. Two things changed on 1 November, not one. The prices changed, and so did the hours that count as peak, off-peak and normal. EVN’s 2% is an average, so what your site pays depends on when you use electricity as well as how much. Each line below is one of the two changes, and its bar shows how big it is next to the other.

What This Covers
  • Prices exclude VAT. Other items on your EVN bill are not included.
  • This compares a full month at the old prices and old peak hours with the same usage at the new prices and new peak hours.
  • Your first EVN bills. On 1 November the electricity company reads your meter, so your next EVN bill charges the days on each price list separately (Circular 60/2025, Article 3.4). Your meter may also keep the old peak hours until it is reset, which can take up to 90 days (Article 5.2), so early bills can differ from this estimate.
  • Old peak hours and new peak hours. Before: peak 09:30 to 11:30 and 17:00 to 20:00, Monday to Saturday; off-peak 22:00 to 04:00 every day; everything else normal (Circular 16/2014/TT-BCT, Article 5). After: peak 17:30 to 22:30, Monday to Saturday; off-peak 00:00 to 06:00 every day; everything else normal (Decision 963/QĐ-BCT of 22 April 2026, applied to retail prices from 1 November 2026). There is no peak on Sunday in either.
  • Operating hours. The kWh you enter in each band are used exactly as given, so the before figure and the price change are exact. The hours are only used to estimate how that use moves into the new peak, off-peak and normal hours, assuming steady use while you operate (and, if you give a lunch break, less use during it: none if everyone stops at once, less the more groups take it in turn) and that every week is the same. Public holidays are not adjusted. Real load profiles differ, and hourly meter data gives the exact answer.
  • Your numbers stay on your device unless you choose to copy a link. What you enter is calculated in your browser and is not sent anywhere. VHALT only receives your email if you choose to give it.
  • If you buy through a landlord or retailer, or under a PPA or DPPA, your price follows that arrangement and may not have moved.
  • The yearly figure is the monthly change times 12, so it assumes every month looks like this one.
  • Reactive power charges (for a power factor below 0.9) are not included. VAT is added on top of the prices shown.
  • EV charging stations, markets and households are not covered.
